Wrapping up E3 Yakuza creator Nagoshi went to talk to Gamespot to give his thoughts on the future of Yakuza, Yakuza 6, his inspirations, the contrasting humor the series is famous for, and how it feels to finally have the series find an audience in the west.
There’s some really interesting stories especially when it comes to how they’re proceeding with a new protagonist in Yakuza 7.
Finally playing catch up with last week’s SEGA Raw with Nagoshi! Now I know some of you expected a full Yakuza 7 reveal and sitting through a nearly 2 hour stream with nothing to show for it was a little disappointing we didn’t leave completely empty handed!
So Yakuza 7 will be revealed next month. No idea what’s going to happen yet so here’s my hopes for the next title in the series.
For those that missed yesterday’s SEGA live stream Nagoshi-san revealed he’ll have more news to share about the next Ryu Ga Gotoku game May 30!
No idea what will be shown but given it’s happening via a live stream I can’t help but feel like it’ll be something minor. Maybe a keyword they’ve decided to work with this time around. Or they could be showing off changes to the Dragon Engine!
You can be sure we’ll be watching and waiting for any small clue about where the series is headed next!
At last night’s Famitsu Awards 2016 (where Yakuza 6 picked up an excellence award from the magazine!) the series director and CCO of SEGA, Toshihiro Nagoshi, took to the stage to confirm the existence of the next title in the Ryu Ga Gotoku series.
