Ryu Ga Gotoku Zero teaser trailer!
From last nights Sony Japan Pre TGS conference here’s the first look at the upcoming Yakuza Zero!
Expect a longer trailer to be released by Sega at TGS later this week!
Yimbocarimbo’s Ryu Ga Gotoku 5 Guide is back online!
For anyone that’s still itching to play through Yakuza 5; Yimbocarimbo’s amazingly well detailed guide is back online!
Big thanks to Yimbocarimbo for getting this back up and running and not leaving us fans in the dark.
Yakuza Zero site updated with story, locations, young Kiryu and Majima!
With the official reveal of Yakuza Zero we get to see what Kiryu and Majima look like in their 20’s and the graphical boost they’re getting thanks to the PS4!
The locations shown are Kamurocho and Soutenburi. The extra level of detail on the next gen console is truly outstanding.
The story will revolve around young Kazuma Kiryu when he was a debt collector for the Tojo and young Majima as he attempts to run a cabaret club in Soutenburi. Kamurocho redevelopment is just getting underway with proposals to make the area more friendly instead of controlled by gangs and building the millenium tower.
Ryu Ga Gotoku Zero to be set in 1988 star young Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima!
As always happens; the latest issue of Famitsu leaked a few details about the new Yakuza title:
- RGG Zero is set in 1988 and features a darker more Yakuza run Kamurocho and the fictional Osaka district of Soutenburi.
- Starring 20 year old Kazuma Kiryu during the time he was a debt collector for the Tojo Clan.
- Also starring Goro Majima as a 24 year old when he was building the most popular cabaret club in Soutenburi.
- Many characters will have their origins explained and appear in this game
- Events of the story will lead right up to Yakuza 1!
Definitely has me excited! Hopefully we’ll see more at the official reveal on the 28th!
Famitsu teasing Yakuza Zero’s reveal. Looks like we’ll be back in the shoes of Kiryu and maybe Nishiki. I’ll be very interested to see if we get more justification for Nishiki’s actions in Yakuza 1.
I’ll also be very interested to see if we play as Kiryu before he gets his dragon tattoo. Stay tuned as soon as the reveal happens we’ll let you guys know!
Ryu Ga Gotoku Zero announced for PS3 and PS4!
This morning the title of the next Ryu Ga Gotoku game was announced. No news yet on what this one will be about. But we have an awesome logo!
Given that the number is the same as the regular chronological series it’s likely this will be a RGG game set before Yakuza 1 in the timeline and not just a spinoff. But we’ll need to wait and see for full confirmation!
We’re gonna need to wait for TGS 2014 to see more!
"Will we ever get Yakuza 5 in the west?"
After hundreds of entries we finally get to see the live auditions for male hosts in the next Ryu Ga Gotoku!
The votes are in and during the reveal of the next Yakuza game on NicoNico next Sunday we’ll find out who the top voted girl is!
Next Ryu Ga Gotoku game to be officially shown 24th of August 2014!
Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio just launched a teaser site for the next Ryu Ga Gotoku game and will be ready to show it off in just a few weeks!
All we know so far is that it will be exclusive to Playstation platforms PS3 and PS4. Still no word from Sega US if Yakuza 5 or Ishin will be coming west but at this point it’s not looking good for localisation.
Reason why we need Yakuza 5 #16831
Anonymous said: when is yimbocarimbos guide coming back online again i really miss it
I actually heard from him recently and the guide SHOULD be back up very soon. No idea on an estimated time but last we spoke he was pretty happy people were getting lots of use out of it!
Just announced today these extremely stylish (and expensive) Yakuza ring and pendant based on Kazuma Kiryu’s tattoo design.
Given the hefty price tag these will be items for only the most fashionable Yakuza fans.
Got this in my mailbox and took a look at the forum immediately. You should too. If you want Yakuza 5 to ever come out of Japan, we really need to let SEGA know that we WANT this game. A letter doesn’t cost much and it’s a really good way to get in touch with SEGA without spamming them online. I’m going to send at least two letters, both to different countries.
And so help me if we can’t get even 1000 people to send letters! And before you go thinking all negative like “it doesn’t make a difference anyway” or “other people will send them so I don’t have to”, just no. Don’t. The Yakuza fandom is small in comparison and every person counts.
Here’s the link for more information and the date:
Thank you for letting me know about this!
Everyone who wants Yakuza 5 take note!
