First details of Yakuza 5’s battle system emerge from Famitsu!

Similar to past Yakuza games, you’ll learn special attacks through some chance encounters you have around town. In Yakuza 5, this type of move learning is accompanied by sub stories. Additionally, you’ll also learn some moves naturally during battle.

That to me sounds like revelations are probably back along with moves associated with sub stories. This could be something like the IF-7R in previous Yakuza games where learning new moves depended on meeting characters and having to refight ghosts in order to learn new moves.
The biggest thing here is the learning move naturally during battle maybe the more you use combos or specific button presses the more the combo can be extended or new fighting styles are unlocked over time. Will be very interesting to see.
