Just announced.
Ryu Ga Gotoku HD collection will be available day 1 as a PSN download. 19 gigs at 4700 Yen (great news for importers).
Also announced was an Easy mode patch that will add a new difficulty option to the games and a cleared save file will carry over to Yakuza 5 unlocking bonuses when you start the game.
This gives you 1 month to finish RGG 1 & 2 before 5 comes out to get those unlocks! Think you can do it?

I haven’t heard anything about saves unlocking new items in Yakuza 3 especially since it’s technically the 4th game with Kenzan going in the middle.
I would highly doubt it honestly but I never expected an HD re-release so that blew my mind! I’ll keep an ear out for you!
