He doesn’t speak Japanese but he has a great time playing. Very chill and funny lets play that really captures what it’s like jumping in to a game if you don’t understand the language.
It reminds me of my first time through Kenzan discovering everything, guessing and hoping you were getting it right with lots of walkthrough checks.
Lots of fun! He’s already up to Episode 6 and they’re really long coming in at about 50min a piece but if you just want to chill and watch a great (my personal favorite) Yakuza game please do.
KHHsubs in 2013I thought it was time for an update on what’s happening at KHHsubs.
Here are a few things we have planned for the year:
Captain Epic
First thing I’m doing is finishing off Kenzan - I plan on doing all the substories for the game (requests, bounties and kakemawari missions). I’m not sure when I’ll get started on this, but hopefully by the end of next month at latest.
After Kenzan is all finished up, I’ll be looking into doing the Kurohyou TV drama series. This will be a nice break from the MASS of text in Kenzan - I don’t want to do another massive game like that again for a while, lol (A translation walkthrough of the Kurohyou PSP game is going to have to wait until later). This will be a lot more straightforward than the Kenzan stuff. Depending on how this goes (and how long it takes me), I may look at the 2nd series (Kurohyou 2) after that.
You guys always do quality work. Can’t wait to see the subs for Kurohyou!

It took my longer than I hoped, but oh well, it’s done now.
As for what I’ll be doing next - The most likely thing is going to be the Kenzan substories (which is the final Kenzan related thing I’ll do). However, don’t expect new videos on the channel soon… I need to take a break from this sort of thing!

It’s been an amazing month and the fan outcry for this game has been fantastic.
Over the next few days I’ll be putting everything I can together and sending it all to Sega.

a.t.cafe tie in to Kenzan. At the time they featured promotional art and demo kiosks for patrons to try out Kenzan before release!
