Just announced today these extremely stylish (and expensive) Yakuza ring and pendant based on Kazuma Kiryu’s tattoo design.
Given the hefty price tag these will be items for only the most fashionable Yakuza fans.

Ryu Ga Gotoku studio have teamed up with mobage to bring Yakuza series character costumes to avatars for 300 Mobakoins!
New tie in between Ryu Ga Gotoku Ishin and Tosa-Tsuru Sake.
Preorders are now open for an Ishin branded bottle of sake (that will also appear in game). Preorder now for a 720ml bottle for 1,500 Yen.
First Ishin restaurant tie in announced! You’d think it would be hard to do tie ins in a game set in 1868 but that won’t stop anyone!
Besides having the restaurant appear in game they’re also partnering with Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and Sega for a pretty awesome giveaway!
Starting today if you order from Kamatora you will be entered to win one of the above prizes:
- Ishin branded pillow (20 to give away)
- Ishin fan (100 to give away)
- Sakamoto Ryoma (Kiryu) statue (12 to give away)!
All entrants also get exclusive wallpapers for cell phones and PC!
You will also be entered to win the grand prize of 1 of 5 Sony Playstation 4’s and a copy of Ishin when they launch in Japan next year!
Let it be known; I will have that pillow and statue, somehow.
New Ryu Ga Gotoku phone cases at Dezaegg!
Love the new designs. Purchase them here.
Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has teamed up with Line. a Skype like system for PC and mobile devices that allows you to purchase stamps to use in your conversations. Think of it how Facebook’s chat works on mobile devices allowing you to buy sticker packs. Same concept.
The Line software does seem to be available worldwide but there is no mention if you are able to buy these stamp packs outside of Japan. Although, with the way the website is laid out it may be all one system.
There are 40 sets of Ryu Ga Gotoku stamps all of which cost 170 Yen per pack.
Edit: The pack should be released on 25/07/2013 which is technically today in Japan so it should be available soon.
Sega and Ryu Ga Gotoku announce crossover with [maimai GreeN] social arcade dance machine (video above is the original maimai machine the GreeN version has extra social media features, player stat tracking and online sharing, but, same core concept).
Sega has included song from Ryu Ga Gotoku 5, Konnan Janai, in the song lineup complete with custom background animations and dance routine!
To top it off they will also include custom profile pictures to use with the social elements.
Always good to see more Ryu Ga Gotoku products in the real world.
Here are some amazingly hi-res screenshots of Kazuma Kiryu in Hot Shots Golf 6 via DengekiOnline.
The DLC should be released today on the PSN in Japan and cost ¥500
If this is released internationally I may reconsider my want to buy this game.
Ryuji Goda in Animal Crossing on 3DS!
Still holding out hope for Haruka. Anyone seen one around?
According to a leak from this weeks Famitsu Sega and Namco will be teaming up to add a playable version of Taiko Drum Master in Yakuza 5!
The article comes in the form of a 10 year retrospective on Taiko including a picture of Yakuza’s producer Nagoshi-san okaying a Taiko arcade machine.
Not the first time each brand has crossed over with Machine Gun Kiss, from Yakuza: Dead Souls, appearing in Taiko no Tatsujin DX for PSP.
Some of the songs included are:
- Mappy Ondo
- Nijiiro Yumeiro Taikoiro
- Shinsekai Yori (need to confirm but I’m pretty sure it’s this song)
This will likely be a minigame available in the in game club Sega’s. It’s awesome to see an arcade reboot since we’ve had the same 3 minigames in Yakuza for the last 3 games!
