The biggest announcment (fight me) at this years Game Awards was the reveal of the upcoming title from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, Project Century!
Set in 1915 (30 years after Ishin!) during the Taishō era using a gorgeous early colour photography art style Project Century is capturing the country right on the cusp of WW1.
The combat looks like a totally different style to what we’ve seen from previous entries in the series being a lot more fluid and brutal. Akin to something like the Batman Arkham games than your typical Like a Dragon title.
It seems like Project Century might be another test for future Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio titles much like Kenzan, and Ishin were for the studios new engines.
We can’t wait to see more from this game and is easily our most anticipated reveal for 2025!
