I’d wait on Yakuza 0 it’s going to be much easier to understand in English plus we need those western sales!
As far as starting with 5 it’s a hard question. It’s easily the best iteration of the series currently available and tons of fun. You’ll likely be able to understand the story and the characters even without experiencing any of the earlier games but I’d recommend watching the Yakuza Reminisce videos just to get caught up.
