Yakuza 0 Vita App Not Making It West

Yakuza 0 Vita App Not Making It West

Following yesterday’s news that the Yakuza Zero’s theme song Bubble wouldn’t be included when the game makes it to the west early next year John (PR Manager at SEGA/ATLUS) let us know the Playstation Vita app would also, unfortunately, not make the jump.

It’s a bit of a shame as the Vita app is free on the Japanese PSN and included a portable version of Nagoshi’s wonderful Monkey Ball for you to play on the go. It also allows players to sync between the game and the app to grind for money on the go, play all of the club sega arcade games, and even fight in the arena!

If you’d like to see some of the Vita App features please watch the video after the jump with Yokoyama-san.

RGG KIWAMI wins Users’ Choice Award at the PlayStation Awards 2016

On a stage full of my favorite Japanese devs Nagoshi-san received the Users’ Choice Award for Ryu Ga Gotoku KIWAMI.

Unfortunately the voting period was closed before the release of Yakuza 6 in Japan so it’s notably absent from all of the awards at the show. You can see Nagoshi being shuffled on stage to accept the award at the 29:50 mark. Not bad for a remake of a 10 year old game. The award was chosen by user vote between October 1, 2015 to September 30, 2016 so expect RGG6 to clean up next year! Congrats everyone at Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio!
