A year after being announced figma Kazuma Kiryu will finally be released December 19th 2016!

This is coming directly from GSC’s release schedule page so hopefully this time it actually makes it out. December 2016 has really become the month of Yakuza!

If you still want your own figma Kiryu he’s still up for preorder on HLJ and Amiami (20% off!).  But don’t delay as with most figma after their initial run don’t expect a reprint. Once they’re gone they’re usually gone forever!

figma Majima is also still on track to release May 2016.. for now.

Some of you may recall a few years ago I went through and listed all of the Yakuza games with their Japanese release dates to see how long a localization announcement usually takes from SEGA America. Now that we’re just a few days from the launch of Yakuza 6, Kiryu’s final game, and a day after the announcement of both Kiwami and Yakuza 6 coming west. I thought it would be fun to have a new look at the turnaround time for our favorite series.

Again these are comparisons for the announcement date in the west to the day they were released in Japan. It’s amazing to see how far SEGA has come with yakuza 6 setting a new record with -5 days!

Thanks to all the fans that have kept the flames burning for this series as long as you have. This is your pay off.

Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza 6 announced for the west at PSX2016!

How is it that every time I miss a PSX they announce a new Yakuza game for the west!


Coming early 2017 (so soon after 0!) Yakuza Kiwami the from the ground remake of Yakuza 1 is coming to the west. Not just that but only a 1 year turnaround for the latest in the series Yakuza 6 is coming west early 2018!


What a great time to be a Yakuza Fan!
