If you’re a paid subscriber to the official Ryu Ga Gotoku Youtube Channel and have reached silver or higher (attained after 24 months of membership) you can apply to become an extra in a future game by having your likeness scanned at SEGA. Each month RGG Studio will select 10 members to be scanned and added as a background character in game. The best part is this seems to be open to pretty much any member word wide (as long as you can get to Japan on the day of the scan.)
Participation rules:
- be a “Silver” (24 months or more of continued subscription) or higher member of the Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio Official YouTube Channel
- still be a channel member at the time of facial scanning
- not be the subject of or legally reside in any countries under sanction by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (“OFAC“) of the U.S. Department of the Treasury. The most up-to-date list of sanctioned countries and persons is located at: https://www.wm.edu/offices/techtransfer/ExportControls/Regulations/OFAC/index.php;
- i) not be a member of an organized crime group (boryokudan), a company affiliated with an organized crime group, an associate member of an organized crime group, a corporate racketeer (sokaiya), a group engaged in criminal or undue activities under the pretext of conducting social movement (shakai undo hyobo goro), a member of a terrorist organization, or any other person similar thereto (collectively, “Anti-Social Forces“);
ii) not employ or engage with any Anti-Social Forces;
iii) not provide profits to any Anti-Social Forces; or
iv) not have violated laws and regulations, committed criminal acts or any other serious incident deemed unacceptable by SEGA- be at least 18 years of age and be of age in the country you are participating from at the time of entry or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian;
- be able to come to the specified venue in Tokyo, Japan, for facial scanning on the specified day;
- maintain and operate a valid email account and the applicable social media platform account required for submission of your entry;
- submit your entry in accordance with the Rules.
- accept these Rules; and
- be able to follow all other instructions and requests from SEGA staff
Other than the payments separately specified in these Rules, no purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to participate and accept the offer on the above. Void where prohibited.
