UPDATE: Chief Producer Yokoyama kills rumor
Big rumors going around today that the next Yakuza was accidentally leaked by series producer Yokoyama Masa on twitter. The game seems to be titled Ashura Ga Gotoku (Like an Ashura) and is to possibly star young Masaru Watase. Watase was the leader of the Omi Alliance and is a big deal!
This rumor has not been confirmed and only 1 screenshot of the alleged tweet seems to exist so we cannot verify its legitimacy. Please take this entire story with a massive grain of salt.
Right now no one seems to know if this is legit but hopefully we’ll hear more December 8th during the 15th anniversary stream.
