Coming from SEGA PR Manager John Hardin after being questioned on twitter about the original theme song for Yakuza 0 coming to the west he offered a disappointing “It is not”. A shame as the theme song is one of our favorites but not totally unexpected. With all Yakuza theme songs being removed for every western release it’s not surprising that this one to will also need to be replaced. John offered a follow up tweet stating that “licensed music is inherently difficult to bring across.”
No word yet if this will extend to the music used in Yakuza 6, but at least if this song is the only thing cut it will still be just as great when it’s released in January 24th 2017!
