Use Kenny’s Essence of the One-Winged Angel to Cut down foes with the slashes of his angel’s wing and Rahul special move Essence of Firestorm to Incinerate enemies with fiery waves of righteous anger. These cards will be available with the Elite Generals Trooper Card Bundle free at launch so make sure you grab it for a great power boost at the start of the game.
In the previous version of Ryu ga gotoku: Ishin! trooper cards were only available to use in the battle dungeons. In this Kiwami! version of the game you’re able to setup your load out and use special skills while enjoying the main story!

IRVINE, Calif. – January 26, 2023 – SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio today announced that wrestling icon Kenny Omega of AEW (Executive Vice President and former AEW World Champion) and actor Rahul Kohli of Netflix fame (iZombie, Midnight Mass, The Haunting of Bly Manor) will cameo in Like a Dragon: Ishin! Kenny and Rahul are two of six special guests that answer Sakamoto Ryoma’s call for revolution in Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s upcoming samurai action game.
Kenny Omega and Rahul Kohli join Ryoma’s cause as samurai soldiers in the form of Trooper Cards. Trooper Cards are a combat feature that grant temporary but devastating power-ups and special abilities when activated real-time in battle. Players can collect and level-up Trooper Cards of their favorite or characters from the Yakuza and Like a Dragon universe. Summon the peerless strength of Kenny Omega, Rahul Kohli and more in an instant to turn the tide of battle!
Kenny Omega and Rahul Kohli are two of six special guests that will don the robes of the Shinsengumi and support the player with unique abilities. Four to-be announced guest Trooper Card cameos will be revealed over Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio twitter @RGGStudio in the coming days. All special guest Trooper Cards will be available worldwide as free downloadable content starting early access on February 17.
