Coming out of Autodesk 3December 2013 in Tokyo was a panel hosted by RGG Studio animator Kudo Yuichi.
The panel discussed using the latest Autodesk 3D animating software could be used to create realistic fabrics and how his team of 3 achieved this for the Kimono’s in Ryu Ga Gotoku Ishin!
The above video shows the tech in action putting Sakumoto in a a test sand box to show off his sword dance.
