Hi there, just a quick question about the Wii U – is it region-locked? I don’t own one, but if it’s region-free or on the off chance Sega decide to release Yakuza 1+2 HD Wii U the west, I’d actually consider buying the console, just for that reason :D

Yes all Nintendo consoles are region locked. PS3, however, is not region locked at all and the HD collection is already released on it!
If you can speak Japanese it’s totally worth picking it up. They are the definitive version of the game and based on the current screenshots the WiiU has blurry textures!
