Just received an email back from Kellie at Sega confirming what we already knew.
Apologies if this news has upset you, but to confirm – nothing has changed with the status of these games. At the current time, they are being released only in Japan, and no western release has been announced. I have no other information to share with you at this time. If anything changes, we will be sure to let you and all of our fans know.

Sad news to say the least but at least it’s not a flat out no; just a not yet.
We’ll keep our ear to the ground and keep showing off what Ryu Ga Gotoku 5 has to offer. If there’s a community demand for the game maybe we’ll hear from Sega sooner than we think.
