At last nights RGG Summit we finally got the official announcement that Yakuza Kiwami 3 is coming February of next year! Now while that may not have been a shock to anyone we also got a surprise announcement of a new Gaiden game Yakuza 3 Gaiden: Dark Ties starring fan favorite character Yoshitaka Mine as he loses his high paying corporate job and needs to start climbing the ranks of the Yakuza! Kiwami 3 and Dark Ties will be released as a bundle and you’ll be able to pick which game to play when you boot the game so it’s perfect for new and returning fans!
Along with the upgraded graphics now that it’s being completely remade in the Dragon Engine Yakuza Kiwami 3 has a bunch of new features:
- New substory for every orphan
- New hang out mini games including homework, cooking, harvesting vegetables, sewing, fishing, and bug catching.
- 3 new fighting styles for Kiryu; Brawler, Ryukyu, Dragon Boost
- Biker Gang turf war mode, recruit allies, build the biggest biker gang in Okinawa
Dark Ties also got a list of features and content that will appear in the game:
- Karaoke
- 2 Fighting styles; Boxing, and Dark Awakening
- Kanda Damage Control, a mode where you can do requests to help raise the reputation of Kanda
- Bro Time where you can hang out with Kanda and build their trust.
- Underground Fight Club including Survival Hell
